Music features in many of the prime areas of development as a tool for expression and an emotional stabiliser. Through a wide variety of musical experiences children can move in ways they don’t usually, hear things that inspire discussion, pretend to be who they want to be, learn maths through rhyme and context, share stories and connect with their peers and educators in comforting and supporting ways.
